Modo Cooperative is a round-trip carsharing service focused on providing a convenient, sustainable, inclusive and affordable transportation option to residents. Founded in Vancouver in 1997, it was one of the first carshare services in North America. Since then it has merged with other carshare cooperatives throughout BC and now serves members on Vancouver Island, the Okanagan and across the Lower Mainland.

As the in-house designer I worked on developing the brand voice and company image through various digital and physical assets for Modo over a two year period.

For the holiday season in 2021, Modo were looking for a fun illustration to use on their holiday card and for use across email, web and social platforms. I created a line-drawing cityscape with hidden ‘easter eggs’ of Modo’s history within the drawing and an alternate collection of red typographic assets. In addition, Modo needed a collection of winter themed icons for use throughout the season not just around the holidays.

Lastly, Modo and The Cooperators collaborated for their corporate/member holiday gift and were looking for a simple design for their holiday coffee mugs.
